Itinerary
Day 1: Destination Sorrento
Departure by motorcoach in the direction of Campania. Refreshment stops along the way
Lunch. Free. In the afternoon arrival in Sorrento, accommodation in reserved rooms. Possibility to take a walk in the narrow streets of the historic center. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Sorrento – Naples – Pompeii
After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for a guided tour of the city of Naples where history and culture are intertwined among iconic monuments and the characteristic Spaccanapoli market,the Maschio Angioino and Piazza del Plebiscito, the Church of Santa Chiara, one of the city’s main places of worship, famous for its frescoed cloister and elegant majolica tiles. You cannot miss a visit to the Veiled Christ, a masterpiece of Neapolitan Baroque, kept in the Sansevero Chapel. This extraordinary sculpture, created by Giuseppe Sanmartino, is famous for its striking realism and marble veil that seems almost ethereal.
Lunch in a restaurant with local specialties. At the termone of lunch, departure for Pompeii. Meeting with local guide and visit to the archaeological excavations. A journey into the past, among the ruins of Pompeii, where time seems to stand still. Destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, this Roman city tells us through its paved streets and well-preserved ruins about the daily life of an ancient civilization. Strolling through the dwellings, temples, stores, and thermal forums, you can almost imagine the scenes of life that took place before the tragedy.
Admire the frescoes and mosaics adorning the houses of the aristocrats, discover the theater, forum, and artisan workshops. Every corner of Pompeii tells a story, making this visit an exciting and unique experience.
Day 3: Excursion to Capri
After breakfast at the hotel, we will board the ferry with destination Capri. Upon arrival at Marina Grande, we will find ourselves in the heart of one of the pearls of the Gulf of Naples. Capri, an island that enchants with its timeless beauty, is a true jewel of the Mediterranean. Arriving, you will need to take minibuses to move comfortably around the island, where breathtaking views and towering cliffs will leave you breathless. With your local guide you will visit the Gardens of Augustus, with their lush plantings and spectacular views of the Faraglioni, the symbol of Capri.
Starting from the port of Marina Grande you will need to take small rowing boats (gozzi), which will take you to the entrance of the famous Blue Grotto, if sea conditions permit.Once you enter the grotto, you will find yourself surrounded by deep blue water that emits an extraordinary light, creating a unique and magical atmosphere. Finally, you will be able to relax in the Piazzetta, the beating heart of the island, where every corner tells an atmosphere of luxury and serenity.
Return to Sorrento in the late afternoon, dinner and overnight stay at Hotel
Day 4: Amalfi Coast Excursion: Positano, Amalfi and Ravello
Breakfast at the hotel and depart for a tour of the Amalfi Coast. A journey along the spectacular Amalfi Coast means immersing yourself in a picture-postcard landscape, where crystal-clear sea meets sheer cliffs and picturesque villages set in rock. Along the scenic road that connects the various towns along the coast, you can admire breathtaking views and hidden corners of extraordinary beauty
Among the not-to-be-missed stops is Amalfi, an ancient maritime republic, with its majestic cathedral and characteristic historic center full of narrow streets and artisan stores. A short walk away, the striking Paradise Cloister offers an oasis of peace with its elegant arabesque arches.
Continuing the journey, you arrive in Positano, the most glamorous village on the Coast, with its pastel-colored houses that descend to the beach. Here you can stroll among exclusive boutiques and panoramic terraces overlooking the sea.
You cannot miss a stop in Ravello, the natural balcony of the Coast, famous for its panoramic villas such as Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, from which there are spectacular views of the gulf.
During the tour, you will be able to taste local specialties, such as limoncello and fresh fish dishes, for an authentic experience among history, culture, and culinary traditions.
Lunch at a restaurant during sightseeing. In the evening, we will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Authentic Tastes and Return
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, the day begins with a unique wine experience: a visit to a local winery. Here, among lush vineyards and picturesque views, you will discover the secrets of winemaking in Campania and taste a selection of fine wines, accompanied by typical local products.
Next, a stop in a traditional citrus grove will allow you to immerse yourself in the intense scents of the Coast. Here you will have the opportunity to taste the famous limoncello, the iconic liqueur of this land, made from local lemons and prepared according to artisanal methods.
Before returning, the trip concludes with lunch at a restaurant along the way, where you can enjoy one last taste of Campanian cuisine, including genuine dishes and authentic flavors that will make this an unforgettable experience.
