ARRIVAL & CASTLE OF FENIS
Arrival of the group in Aosta Valley in the early afternoon. Meet with the guide and visit the impressive Castle of Fénis, one of the most iconic in the region, known for its perfectly preserved towers and battlements.
Walk through the village and time to buy local handicrafts (honey, liquor, wooden objects).
Accommodation in 3* or 4* hotel, dinner and overnight.
🍽️ Typical Valdostan dinner with regional dishes: fondue, polenta and venison stew (menu can be customized).
DAY 2 – ROMAN AND MEDIEVAL AOSTA + TASTING
Breakfast and departure to Hotel, meeting with local guide and beginning of the tour of the city of Aosta called “The Rome of the Alps“: Arch of Augustus, Porta Pretoria, Roman Theater, Cathedral and historical center
Free lunch in the streets of the center (possibility to book typical lunch in local restaurant).
In the afternoon, visit a wine cellar or agricultural cooperative for tasting of Fontina AOC, local cured meats and Aosta Valley wines.
Late afternoon return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3 – COGNE AND GRAN PARADISO PARK
Breakfast and departure for Val di Cogne, gateway to Gran Paradiso National Park. Guided walk in the meadows of Sant’Orso (UNESCO World Heritage Site) with breathtaking views of the Alps and a chance to spot ibex and marmots.
Visit to the Ecomuseum and Maison de la Nature
Farmhouse lunch with typical mountain dishes. Free time in the village to relax, buy natural products and take photos
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4 – ISSOGNE CASTLE AND DEPARTURE
Breakfast and departure to visit Issogne Castle, a fine Renaissance residence famous for its vivid frescoes and pomegranate fountain. Brief stop in Pont-Saint-Martin with its Roman bridge and striking views
Free lunch along the way . Continuation of the Journey and arrival at your locations in the evening
