01 Day: Destination Salzburg: the City of Mozart
Departure in the very early morning hours in the direction of Salzburg. Arrival in the late morning
Free lunch. In the afternoon, meet your guide for a city tour. You will see the beautiful Mirabell Gardens, Salzburg Cathedral, Getreidegasse-the shopping street where Mozart’s Birthplace is also located-and Hohensalzburg Fortress, which dominates the city from above and offers spectacular views. Free time in the old town for a stroll through the quaint medieval streets.
Dinner and overnight
Day 02: Castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau – The Jewels of Bavaria – Munich
After breakfast, depart for Bavaria to explore two of Germany’s most fascinating castles, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle, the fairy-tale manor built by King Ludwig II, famous for inspiring the Disney castle. Next, visit Hohenschwangau Castle, the childhood residence of Ludwig II. Lunch at a typical restaurant in the surrounding area
In the afternoon, transfer to Munich, hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight.
Day 03: Munich – The Heart of Bavaria
Breakfast at the hotel and meet your guide for a tour of Munich’s Old Town. You will visit Marienplatz with the famous carillon of the Neues Rathaus, the Frauenkirche, the city’s landmark church, and the Munich Residence, the former home of the dukes and kings of Bavaria. Free lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Nymphenburg Palace, sumptuous summer residence of the Bavarian royal family, surrounded by a magnificent park. Dinner at a typical Bavarian brewery with tasting of local specialties. Overnight stay in a hotel in Munich.
Day 04: Excursion around Munich – Nature and culture
After breakfast, a day dedicated to exploring the surroundings of Munich.
Excursion to the picturesque Chiemsee Lake and visit to Herrenchiemsee Castle, the “Bavarian Versailles,” commissioned by King Ludwig II. Free lunch.
Return to Munich, dinner and overnight stay
After breakfast, depart for Wattens, Austria, to visit the famous Swarovski Crystal Worlds. This extraordinary museum created by the famous crystal brand offers an enchanting tour of illuminated works of art, spectacular installations and exclusive boutiques.
Free lunch and subsequent departure for the return journey.
